Having a knowledgeable local agent can help ease those difficulties. Having Taylor on our side was a game-changer for us. His approach to helping out-of-state buyers was the best one I've seen. Here is a brief (not complete) description of what we loved about working with Taylor: 1. Communication: He constantly communicated with us about new properties coming into the market. He personally answered his phone almost every time we called him, and when he was not available to answer, he would get back to us almost immediately. 2. Property Tours: His property video tours were by far the best part of our day when we were looking for a house. His commentary on location, street appeal, home feel, quality of workmanship, potential issues, and description of every room in the house left us confident about the decision we made on that property. We showed those videos to friends, and they always commented on the value of his insight into the property. No doubt he saved us many times over from putting an offer on a house that on paper and pictures, looked like an amazing deal. This is where knowledge of the neighborhood became the biggest asset in our home-buying process. 3. Offers: With sellers getting over 30 offers per home, building a winning offer becomes indispensable. His ability to write in specific detail the complexities of our offers, without being too wordy or overfilled with legal jargon, is incredible. He put so much care into making sure the offers truly presented us in the best light to the sellers. He made sure he would follow up via a call after every offer was submitted and had other techniques to demonstrate to the seller that we were the best offer on the table, even though we were not the highest. 4. Empathy: He took the time to listen and get to know us in order to place offers that were in the best interest of our family, not his commission. In many instances, he advised us against his own interests to make sure we didn't do something that we would later regret. For that, we are truly grateful to him. If it wasn't for him, we would have bought at least two homes that, in hindsight, were not a perfect fit for our family. For those in the market for a home, you can understand how easy it is to just settle for any home that would accept your offer. 5. Added Value: Anyone can help you get into a house, but most disappear after they get their commission. With us being new to Arizona, we needed way more help to get our footing in the city. He helped us in so many ways that are too numerous to list. Just trust me when I tell you that without his help, it would have been a lot more difficult for us to make the transition to a new state. Overall, I would highly recommend Taylor to anyone we meet, but also to our friends and family. We are confident that with Taylor, they would be in the hands of one of the top real estate agents in the state."
